Senior Human Resources Generalist for a Large Retailer

Area : Dillon, South Carolina

Description : Our client is one of the largest tool and equipment retailers in the country. They are seeking a well-rounded, Senior Human Resources Generalist to tackle complex HR-related issues for the company's distribution center. The ideal candidate will be well-equipped to balance employee advocacy and business operating needs all while promoting equity, fair treatment, and positive employee relations within the organization.

This is an in-person role in Dillon, South Carolina and our client will assist with relocation costs if needed.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with all members of the organization to build credible relationships, allowing for better decisions and overall organizational effectiveness

- Provide guidance to distribution center management and employees on human resources-related issues

- Ensure company policies are effectively communicated and administered fairly and consistently across the organization

- Conduct complex and sensitive employee-related investigations and perform advanced employee relations activities

- Handle all HR involvement with unemployment and workers' compensation activities and claims for DC employees

- Manage the administration of all DC employee-related Leave of Absence programs and processes

- Coordinate with the corporate team to conduct open enrollment and other benefits-related programs

- Conduct employee and supervisor training regarding HRIS tools, benefits, policies and procedures, and the prevention of harassment and discrimination

- Manage the HR Coordinator and/or other Administrative roles

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree required (preferably in human resources, psychology, or another business-related discipline)

- 3-6 years of Human Resources experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment

- Experience with nonexempt populations, preferred

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Experience with HRIS and KRONOS tools strongly preferred

- Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and procedures  as well as employee relations procedures and applicable law

- PHR or SHRM-CP certifications preferred
