Human Resources Manager for a Large Retailer

Area : Dillon, South Carolina

Description : Our client is one of the largest tool and equipment retailers in the country. They are seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Human Resources Manager (Supply Chain) to lead and guide HR practices and objectives for one of the company's large distribution centers in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have prior experience crafting employee-oriented, high-performing cultures within a warehouse environment.

This is an in-person role in Dillon, South Carolina and our client will assist with relocation costs if needed.


- Implement employee-related services, policies, and programs for the distribution center's employees

- Manage and resolve complex DC employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary

- Familiarity with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations regarding employee welfare, safety, health and benefits, and compensation

- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management

- Coordinate management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and matters of sexual harassment

- Write and deliver presentations to upper management regarding human resources policies and practices

- Assist with the development of policies and programs to attract, retain, and promote a diverse workforce for the organization's DC

- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention

- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning

- Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of the success of training programs


- Bachelor's degree required (preferably in human resources, psychology, or another business-related discipline)

- 5-7+ years of Human Resources experience in a warehouse or distribution environment

- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws

- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions

- Strong conflict management and interpersonal relations skills

- Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft – Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and comfortable with Enterprise resource platforms (Ultipro, Kronos, SAP, etc)

- Flexibility and ability to interact with employees at all levels and all shifts
