Operations Manager/Director for an Innovative Touring Immersive Art Experience

Description : Our client is seeking an Operations Manager/Director for an innovative touring immersive art experience. Reporting directly to the COO and Director of Operations, this operations leader will help manage tasks across HR, IT, Facilities, and Special Events within the organization. This individual will also work to develop operational systems and processes to streamline communication across the departments.This is a fast-growing, very entrepreneurial organization – while we are including some basic responsibilities below, the primary job responsibility is to be a proactive problem-solver.

This is a mostly remote position, but there is a preference for this candidate to be located in Los Angeles or New York.

 Responsibilities:

- Serve as primary operational/administrative leader for the organization, managing all administrative team members, activities, and initiatives
- Perform basic bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting functions as needed
- Manage some administrative tasks directly, including, but not limited to monitoring office inventory, monitoring company credit card usage & processes, and assisting in contract administration
- Working closely with IT partners to coordinate all hard- and software purchases, implementing and managing software systems, and supporting individual employee IT needs
- Manage variety of meetings and events, including those with both internal and external partners and stakeholders
- Direct and oversee facilities, including routine maintenance at studio spaces, assisting with securing and building out workspace/studio/storage spaces as needed, and liaising with the property manager and onsite security
- Partner with the organization’s HR consultant to address some HR-related functions (i.e. oversee and lead hiring processes, onboard and train employees, oversee and manage staff’s time off/sick leave)
- Work closely with the COO and DOO to develop and enforce company policies and standards
- Oversee and assist in managing the budget for the admin/operations departments
- Develop and implement internship program with DOO and relevant department heads

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar operations role
- Experience working within a high-growth, entrepreneurial organization; a must
- Microsoft Office experience including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Familiarity with accounting/bookkeeping software; highly preferred
- Ability to proactively anticipate the needs of the organization
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
