Director of Operations for an Innovative Management Consulting Practice

They're seeking a Director of Operations to manage and evolve the business operations, infrastructure and processes that align with the company’s vision and mission, and that support an excellent experience for employees, clients and industry business partners.  This hands-on role is not client-facing, but will work closely with the CEO to  define, prioritize and execute the company’s business, internal projects and processes.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day business operations, to ensure that all systems  are running smoothly and working towards company growth

- Serve as growth-minded thought partner to CEO on all strategic firm considerations

- Evaluate and upgrade systems and processes to ensure maximum efficacy and efficiency in operations and client delivery

- Oversee finance and legal efforts in partnership with external partners, including vendor, client and subcontractor contracts, AP/AR

- Act as Human Resources administrator, including insurance, employee health, 401k and other related benefits policies, payroll, hiring and onboarding processes

- Lead conversations around cash flow, forecasting, and budget allocation

- Identify and maintain relationships with expert legal counsel, accountants, bookkeepers, technology and other partners necessary for business operations

- Support the client facing consulting team with executing client proposals to ensure terms align with company and client deliverables Develop strategies for increasing impact and effectiveness with internal processes and delivery of client work

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree, required

- 8+ years in business operations, with at least 4 in an operational leadership capacity

- Experience creating and managing budgets and being a key player in conversations about financial planning and stability

- Experience working within professional services organizations (consulting, legal, accounting, or similar)

- Proficiency with Quickbooks Online, payroll processing platforms, Microsoft and Google Suites

- Unparalleled organizational skills, with the ability to wear multiple hats, prioritize, and manage deadlines

- Proven communication skills, both written and verbal

- Commitment to the organization's mission and vision, required
